Androgen insensitivity syndrome


Definition

  • Resistance of target organs to androgen stimulation (owing to androgen receptor gene mutation on the X chromosome) leading to several syndromes with phenotypes varying from testicular feminization (severe form) to normal males with infertility (mild form)
