Like tamoxifen, toremifene, and droloxifene, idoxifene is a polyphenylethylene antiestrogen. It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) with greater antiestrogenic activity than tamoxifen but less estrogenic activity. Its preclinical toxicology has been reviewed [ ].
