  • Morphologically distinct variant of invasive urothelial carcinoma

Clinical features

Epidemiology

  • Incidence <1% to 2.2% of all invasive urothelial carcinomas

  • Most common in the sixth decade (range, 45 to 91 years)

  • Males more frequently affected (male-to-female ratio, 5:1)
