Radiation cystitis


Definition

  • Radiation cystitis is characterized by a bladder lesion caused by irradiation of a pelvic organ for urothelial or nonurothelial malignancies. These lesions are dose- and time-dependent, and their spectrum can range from an inflammatory response to complete bladder retraction.
