Orthodontic Complications


Presentation

Patients with orthodontic appliances may present after traumatic injury or discomfort in the absence of distinct trauma. There may be bleeding, lacerations, or patient anxiety. Other problems include impacted food, candy, or chewing gum causing gingival infection.
