  • What is the patient’s GCS and neurological status?

  • What are the patient’s vitals?

  • Does the patient have any risk factors for sinus infection?

  • Does the patient have any signs or symptoms of orbital involvement, intracranial involvement, meningitis, or encephalitis?

  • Has the patient been on any antibiotics?

  • What other services (otolaryngology, ophthalmology) have seen the patient?
