Definition

Stromal tumors of uncertain malignant potential (STUMPs) are tumors arising from the specialized prostatic stroma. Prior synonyms include atypical stromal (smooth muscle) hyperplasia, phyllodes type of atypical stromal hyperplasia, phyllodes tumor, and cystic epithelial-stromal tumor .
