Definition

Uncommon benign lesion of the prostate composed of a nodular proliferation of basaloid nests or benign glands with prominent basal cells that may obscure the glands. Basal cell hyperplasia extensively involving an adenomatous nodule may be interpreted as basal cell adenoma.
