Highly aggressive tumor arising from the mesothelial lining of the tunica vaginalis, and less commonly from the spermatic cord or epididymis
Clinical features
Epidemiology

Rare, accounts for less than 1% of all malignant mesotheliomas
-
Usually affecting older patients (mean age, 65 years); some pediatric cases reported
-
Association with asbestos exposure is weaker than with pleural and peritoneal mesotheliomas (30%–40% of cases for the former)
