Endocervical Glandular Hyperplasia


D efinition An increase in the number of endocervical glands. May be idiopathic or secondary to increased hormonal stimulation. Some atypical hyperplasias may be associated with minimal deviation adenocarcinomas and Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (see page 300 ).

  • Usually seen in reproductive-age women as an incidental finding.
