Rare, but accounts for one-third of primary epididymal tumors

Unilateral cases more common, usually not associated with von Hippel-Lindau disease

Bilateral cases typically associated with and seen in 40% of patients with von Hippel-Lindau disease

Mean age, 35 years (range, 16–76 years)
