Aesthetic rhinoplasty for the nose that fits the typical Eastern Slavic face. The stereotype of a Slavic young woman is as follows: wide round face; widely spaced big eyes; straight or concave dorsum with the nasal tip rotated up. On the West the actual Russian appearance is recognizable (Corpulence, “Blood and Milk”). Representatives of the Eastern Slavic group are usually fair-haired with gray or blue eyes. The face lines are soft, contours sometimes wide, round. Rotund cheeks are often seen. The growth of brows and beard is lowered. Russians differ from other Slavs because the average horizontal profile dominates (the angle of the flattening of the face in a horizontal position), also the eyelid fold is greatly developed. At the same time, oriental facial features such as an epicanthus are uncommon.
The opinion that Russians usually have a “snub” nose (concave profile and a lifted base) is not confirmed. Most often (75% of the cases) a straight profile of the nose can be seen, which is slightly bigger than the middle European variant (70%). A concave profile can also be seen rarely (9%), the same as for the population of Central and Western Europe (10%).
Russians by their racial composition are typical Whites by most of their anthropological features, occupying a central position among Europeans. Only by the width of the head, width of the nose, and thickness of the lips do Russian groups differ from people living in Western Europe. There are millions of people throughout the world whose native language is Russian. Many of them have a demand for aesthetic plastic surgery. Selected surgical techniques of rhinoplasty that we offer must be reproduceable and should guarantee a natural and ethnically pleasant result. They need to preserve the normal anatomy of the nose with its function uncompromised.
