Definition

  • A rare malignant mesenchymal tumor of smooth muscle differentiation

Clinical features

Epidemiology

  • Second most common paratesticular sarcoma in adults

  • Most commonly arising from the spermatic cord, but may also arise from the epididymis and testicular tunics

  • Wide age range, but most commonly in men older than 40 years
