Definition

  • A benign tumor of mesothelial origin in the testicular adnexa

Clinical features

Epidemiology

  • The most common tumor in the testicular adnexa, including the epididymis, tunica albuginea, and spermatic cord

  • Accounts for 32% of all tumors and 60% of all benign tumors at this site

  • Occurs in the late teens up to 79 years of age, with a mean age of 36 years
